Platinum, 20% on medium surface carbon (Actydon | Pt 20 C240)) is a Pt catalyst on a medium surface area carbon material. The catalyst is used as an electrocatalyst in electrolyzers (cathode) and fuel cells (cathode and mainly anode), as well as in other related applications. The catalyst is most suitable for catalytic oxidation of H₂, catalytic reduction of O₂ and in H⁺ reduction (H₂ generation). The catalyst offers high kinetic activity. The Pt catalyst can be purchased in different Pt concentrations of 10 to 40% by weight.
